The Amáte Institute, is dedicated to the use of and instruction in the Amáte Growth Work process in Spanish and English. Although the majority of clients and student facilitators are Mexicans and foreigners living in Mexico, International visitors are able to successfully participate in and learn the process in specially designed individualized intensive programs offered year round.

The Amáte Institute is ideally located in the center of culturally and historically rich San Miguel de Allende, México, a Colonial Mexican City founded in the 15th Century.

Because San Miguel is an extraordinarily popular International tourist destination, English is spoken and understood. There is an excellent selection of variously priced shops, hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts, and many excellent restaurants with diverse menus. San Miguel boasts a wide variety of healing, health, and cultural resources. The dollar is commonly accepted and there are centrally located International ATM machines. San Miguel has many Internet cafes, International cell phone access or rental, and cable TV.

San Miguel is located an hour from the new Queretaro International Airport, an hour and a half from the Leon International Airport, and three and a half hours from the Mexico City International Airport. There are reasonably priced 24 hour car and van services available to and from San Miguel from all airports. Car rental is convenient in San Miguel, although reasonable taxi service is available 24 hours if transportation is required.
